What do we mean by ‘rejuvenation'?
Rejuvenation is a complete steam- cleaning process where the fill and the casing are cleaned separately in our specialised machine imported into Australia from Germany. The fill(the feather/down) is taken from the cover, cleaned and "re-lofted"(see glossary) through the rejuvenation process.We recommend you rejuvenate every two years as this covers our ten year warranty
How is it done?
When you bring an item in for rejuvenation we will professionally assess it for fill content and for the quality of casing as a new one may be necessary. (Please Note We always provide a new casing for pillows). The top of the quilt might be dirty or grubby but coffee, wine and sweat stains will usually come out no matter how bad.... so don't be embarrassed about bringing in your quilt...we really have seen everything!!
We then look at both ends of the quilt where most of wear and tear occurs as this is a good indication as to whether the casing will survive the rejuvenation process. We look to see if the channels are ‘blown out' (i.e the stitching is gone). All our SnuggleDown quilts are a channelled construction as this makes the rejuvenation process more efficient and easier for top ups etc.
Other quilts such as box or cassette can be rejuvenated as well and we will discuss this with you when you bring it to us. We then begin the rejuvenation process. Very simply, we remove the fill, weigh it and place into the rejuvenation machine where it goes through a complete steam cycle which cleans and relofts the filling without any chemicals being used. Meanwhile, we soak your quilt casing using natural eucalyptus oil. The casing is then laundered and dried. The final stage is to put the cleaned fill back into the casing..at this stage we "top-up" and you have a completely rejuvenated quilt. . Remember, we weighed the fill as we normally "top up" with at least 100gm of additional fill of the same type and quality. You will feel as if you have brand new quilt as with our process, you never need to buy a new quilt again!! It is truly worth your initial investment as the fill can last forever.
How long does it take?
If you bring it into our retail outlet at Shop 2/14 Channel Highway Kingston before 11am, you can pick it up the same day. We also have pick up and delivery service and a courier service Australia wide.

Over time, the casing on your quilt will become yellow and stained from perspiration, body oils and the wear and tear of living. When small holes appear on your casing (usually along the top/bottom edge), or you notice that there is some leakage of fill, it is time to recase. We open your old quilt, clean and recycle the fill and top up into a new 1005 cotton japara channel casing.

Laundry Service
We provide a specialised laundering facility particularly for blankets and bedding. We have commercial washing and drying machines that efficiently clean and refresh synthetic and cotton quilts, sheets, towels and other general laundry. We give special rates for bulk orders and proudly offer this service to B and Bs and boutique hotels in Southern Tasmania and other regions by arrangement.

Feather and Down Products
We specialise in feather and down and of course, provide standard sizes. But we know this is not enough. We'll make a product to suit you -customised to your requirements. Quilts, pillows and cushions, in fact all our products, are available in standard sizes as well as made-to-order sizes. For example, we make quilts for couples that suit the hot and cold sleeper. There is also a large range of filling materials to suit your needs. For all our standard and custom made feather and down products, 100% downproof cotton japara fabric used. All fillings are fully deodorized and de-dusted and have passed Australian Government Quarantine Inspection Standards(AQIS). Only new, fully lofted, deodorised and dedusted feather and down is used in our products. No damaged feather is used.

It is sometimes hard to find the perfect addition, colour or style for your individual décor or design. Our customers know we can solve their problems. If your fitted sheet has lost its elastic, if you need to upsize your quilt cover or you just want a cushion made, you can rely on us to solve your problem. We have made customised beds for Great Danes, body length pillows and pillows that snuggle around your ears!!...all to the satisfaction of our increasing customer base.
